Piano accompaniment sheets

Each pattern is written on a grand staff over the C – G – Am – F progression: the treble clef is the right hand and the bass clef is the left. If you do not read music yet, open the text version under each example, which lists the notes of each hand beat by beat. Once it feels steady at a slow tempo, listen to it and compare in the lab.

How to read these scores

  • The upper staff (treble clef) is the right hand and the lower staff (bass clef) is the left. Notes lined up vertically sound together.
  • Several notes stacked on one stem form the chord. Eighth notes joined by a beam last half a beat each.
  • Rests mean that hand is silent. The amber chord symbol above each bar (C, G, Am, F) is the chord you are accompanying.
  • Start very slowly (60 BPM), count aloud and raise the tempo only when you no longer hesitate.
