Ukulele chord sheets to print

These printable sheets use G-C-E-A tuning. The fourth string is the high G4 string, so you can see the re-entrant tuning in every chord diagram.

What Each Sheet Includes

There are three sheets. One with major chords, another with minor chords, and another with seventh chords. Each one has all twelve tones, from C to B.

All of them use G-C-E-A tuning. The fourth string is a high G, G4, which is why the ukulele sounds bright even when you play low chords.

How to Read a Diagram

  • A numbered dot is a finger: 1 index, 2 middle, 3 ring, and 4 little finger.
  • An empty circle above is an open string. It sounds without pressing any fret.
  • A bar crossing several strings is a barre. Your index finger presses all of them at once.
  • If the shape starts higher up, the number of the initial fret appears next to it.

Where to Start

Start with C, Am, F, and G. With these four chords, you can already accompany many songs.

C is played with just one finger, your ring finger on the third fret of the first string. Am also uses one finger. F and G require two and three fingers.

Practice switching between two chords before adding the third. One minute from C to Am, another from Am to F, and another from F to G.

How to Print Them

The sheets are A4 size at 300 dots per inch. They look sharp on paper even if you print them in black and white.

Stick it near where you practice. If you have it in sight, you can consult it without putting down your instrument.
